Recently we shared what Q1 told us about institutional stablecoin adoption. In short, volume was outpacing every other signal in the market, and that gap was widening. Q2 confirms the trend.
Here’s what the quarter looked like for AUSD.
In Q2 2026, AUSD processed over $11B in transfer volume.
Three Things This Quarter Showed Us
1. Sustained Volume Growth.
Quarterly transfer volume hit $11B+ in Q2, up 154% from $4B a year ago. Lifetime volume crossed $84B, up over 500% year over year.
2. Average Transfer Size is Doubling.
Year over year volume was up 154% including a highlight that the average transfer size went up over 150%.
That combination, a stable transfer count with a much larger average size, is consistent with larger, more concentrated institutional flows doing more of the work rather than a broader base of smaller transactions.
3. Wallet growth kept pace with volume.
Unique AUSD holders surpassed 38,000 at quarter-end, up 104% year over year. That tracks with the volume story, highlighting that more distinct holders are doing larger transactions.
Q2 confirmed what Q1 started; volume, transfers, and holders are still growing and we expect that to continue into Q3.
