Each quarter we take stock of how AUSD is being used, and Q3 had plenty worth sharing. A major milestone in September, Agora received preliminary conditional approval from the OCC to establish a national trust bank. Here's what the quarter looked like for Agora.
Here are a few things this quarter showed us.
Lifetime volume crossed $92B.
AUSD has processed over $92B in lifetime transfer volume, up over 200% year over year, and has completed over 38 million transfers, up over 175%. That counts every transfer AUSD has processed since launch.
Unique AUSD holders are up over 70% year over year.
The number of unique AUSD holders grew over 70% year over year, measured on the same set of networks in both periods.
Teams are building with AUSD.
A range of teams kept building with AUSD this quarter. Iris is using Agora's infrastructure for stablecoin issuance and wallet operations for telcos in Latin America, starting with VIVA in Bolivia and Mexico. Bitwise launched their first Morpho vaults onchain and chose to use AUSD. Bitwise's PAPY vault, powered by AUSD, is live on Morpho. Wellington Management is bringing institutional products onchain through Midas, powered by AUSD.
Agora received preliminary conditional approval from the OCC.
In September, Agora received preliminary conditional approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to establish a national trust bank. Lifetime volume, lifetime transfers, and unique holders all grew year over year, and Agora took a step toward final OCC approval. We'll share more as that process moves forward.
