The Agora Sandbox is live. It is a dedicated environment where you can connect to the Agora API, build your integration, and run the same flows you will run in production. Mints, redeems, routes, and transactions all behave the way they do in production. The difference is that nothing touches real money. Onchain activity runs on testnets, and every fiat movement is simulated.
By the time you move to production, you have already seen your integration work end to end.
A New Environment Dedicated to Testing Agora
When we launched the Agora API, the first thing integrators asked was where they could try it.
Until now, the honest answer was production. For a company moving money, that is a hard place to start. Teams had to finish onboarding before writing a line of code. They had to test with real funds, so every test carried real stakes.
That slows everyone down, and it hits partners hardest. A partner building Agora into its own platform needs to design, build, and validate an integration while its onboarding is still in progress. Waiting on production access before starting adds weeks to every launch.
The sandbox removes that wait. You can start building as soon as you have a sandbox key, and you can validate every flow before you ever handle real funds.
Special Considerations for Building Our Sandbox
A sandbox is only useful if it behaves like production. So we did not just build a mock of the API. We built a full, isolated copy of the production stack. We then pointed it at testnets for onchain activity, and added simulations where needed to ensure that the experience mimics what happens in production.
That means the core API runs unmodified. Where a dependency cannot run for real, like a bank wire, the stand-in produces the same downstream result. A simulated wire still creates the mint and still shows up in your transactions. Your code sees the same responses either way.

- Start before you finish onboarding: You don’t need a production account to get going. Our team sets up your sandbox organization and gets you started directly.
- Test fiat flows without a real wire: Simulate an inbound wire into a USD route and watch it mint AUSD automatically. Redeem back to USD and the sandbox records a completed outbound wire. No real dollars move. See Simulated Wires.bash
