Engineering Blog: Manage Your Mint and Rewards Addresses in the Agora Platform

Self-serve rewards now covers your rewards addresses too. The Accounts page on the Agora Platform is where you manage every blockchain address your organization registers with Agora, whether it mints and redeems AUSD, earns rewards, or both.

About the Agora Platform

We built the Agora Platform to provide you with a consolidated interface for all of your actions with Agora. It is a one-stop-shop to mint and redeem AUSD (both with fiat and stablecoins), manage your organization’s addresses, hold balances, and configure permissions and API keys.

Why we built the unified experience

Earlier this year we introduced Rewards in the Agora Platform, where you can see your rewards rate and set your payout destination address. Now we have made managing your rewards addresses easier.

Previously, updating a rewards address required our team to make the change for you. You would reach out to us, we would verify the address and the network, and the update would land once our exchange was complete.

The Designated Addresses page handled some of this directly, covering the common cases. Though adding a new network to an address you had already registered still directed you to our team.

Now mint and rewards addresses sit in one place and work identically. Every change is self-serve: you add, update, and remove addresses whenever you need to, without our team in the loop.

What we built

On the Accounts page of the Agora Platform, choose what each address does when you are adding a new blockchain address. While adding the address, pick what it can do, one or both:

  • Mint and redeem: the address sends and receives tokens for your mints and redeems.
  • Track for rewards: we track the AUSD balance for rewards. It is never used to send or receive tokens.

Note: the options you see depend on your organization’s access. If one you need is missing, contact your Agora representative.

The Add Blockchain Address dialog on the Accounts page of the Agora Platform, with fields for the address nickname, the address, and its networks, and a “What this address can do” section with Mint and redeem and Track for rewards both selected

Edit any address by renaming it, adding networks to it, or removing it from your addresses.

Find any address. We also refined the address list itself, so it stays easy to work with as it grows, especially if you track many addresses for rewards. You can now filter it by entitlement or by network, with a count of matching addresses next to each option.
